This week, the Prime Minister of UK, Theresa May, pulled the trigger of Article 50, starting the process of leaving the European Union in two years from now. Let´s get down to the nitty-gritty of the deal, which will require an enormous effort from apolitical bureaucrats, who will have to incorporate approximately 80,000 European laws into the British judicial system. After every PAS outrage Malaysian asks a question that repeatedly withers on the dry sand of evasive clichés. How long will the apartheid of two laws for one countryone continue? This is also a conflict between theocracy and democracy; between practitioners of faith-supremacy and believers in faith-equality as the basis of civilised behaviour. This war has to be fought at both military and ideological levels.
The answer to regression is not complicated: modernity. Modernity has four basic, non-negotiable principles. A modern nation must be democratic; it must believe in secularism; it must promote gender equality; and it must eliminate the curse of inequity and poverty. This is the charter for regions in chaos, which can save the future from ravages of the present.
WHO DO WE BELIEVE? MODI BUTCHER OF GUJARAT PUTS EVEN BUTCHER TO SHAME

(Sanjiv Bhatt)I have principle and no power
You have power and no principle
You being you
And I being I
Compromise is out of the question
So let the battle begin…

I have truth and no force
You have force and no truth
You being you
And I being I
Compromise is out of the question
So let the battle begin…

You may club my skull
I will fight
You may crush my bones
I will fight
You may bury me alive
I will fight
With truth running through me
I will fight
With every ounce of my strength
I will fight
With my last dying breath
I will fight…
I will fight till the
Castle that you built with your lies
Comes tumbling down
Till the devil you worshipped with your lies
Kneels down before my angel of truth.

May the kind God give you the requisite strength to be equitable and benevolent towards one and all!

Satyamev Jayate!

With best wishes.

Yours sincerely,
Imagine the Parliament was already gearing itself to table the amendments to the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965, but Najib chose to stay away from Parliament to visit India.

Only Hadi and his team of people believed that the Umno president was serious about Act 355.The centre of gravity in any democracy is best measured by the credibility of its Parliament, an institution that fuses a core Puritan simplicity with a Catholic electoral horizon. but in Malaysia There is position, represented by government. There is opposition. The space in between is occupied by debate. Socrates, famously, established democracy’s philosophical principles when he replaced competition with dialogue.read the fullstory Who do we believe? As the debate continues to swirl around secularism, albeit with ebbing intensity, but still provoking a loose nerve or two, an intriguing question demands an answer. Is India secular because Gandhi was secular, or was Gandhi secular because India is secular? What precisely do we mean by secularism?

The western definition has two origins: the French Revolution, which separated church from state; and communism, which erased religion from political and social life. Between Voltaire and Karl Marx, religion was marginalized into the grey space of “unreason” from Europe to China, with ramifications that extended far beyond the extent of state power.Indian secularism is a very different story. It neither ignores nor excludes religion. It insists on equality of all faiths, irrespective of its following. The religion of those in power at any point of that rolling dice called time does not matter, for Indian secularism is far more than the law. It is a fundamental social right.India, therefore, is a country with “audible secularism”. You can be a Muslim in Washington and London, and go to a mosque of your choice, but you will not be able to hear the call to prayer. In India, dawn is welcomed with the wafting lilt of the azaan, followed by the music of temple bells, the harmony of the Granth Sahib being recited in a gurdwara, and the peal from the church.

After PAS piracy, an UMNO conspiracy Hadi and PAS had been taken for a ride over what is otherwise known as Hadi’s private member’s bill. He was too foolhardy to accept Najib’s hand when Umno and PAS, as we all know, are politically a world apart...there was no mastermind behind it all. There were sceptics and there were people objecting to the amendments, but no one was masterminding the entire plot. Most of us who read between the lines could tell what was happening, but not Hadi or any of the PAS leaders. I had kept my fingers crossed, and asked myself, “Could this be part of Hadi and Najib’s bigger plot? Or, maybe Hadi was already well aware of the U-turn, but he is playing along with the game because he is part of the script. If that were the case, it is all part of a bigger plot, isn’t it?”
There will be many twists and turns of negotiations before the United Kingdom will be allowed to divorce the European Union after 44 years of marriage. The triggering of Article 50 is irrevocable and historic in the sense that UK has decided to leave a political and economic project, which has facilitated one of the steadiest periods of unprecedented economic growth, benefitting all the 28 countries which have become members since the signing of the Rome Treaty 60 years ago.
After a PAS piracy, an UMNO conspiracy?
A decisive battle between modernity and regression was fought between PAS and UMNO after 1957. PAS used, often and provocatively, the rhetoric of superiority in its pursuit of separation Muslim governance. Another barbaric chapter of an epic conflict between the presence and promise of modernity, and the bitter, toxic romance of regression was written on Abdul Hadi Awang face a confrontation between the lethal adrenalin of faith supremacy and belief that faith equality is the basis of civilised political and social stability.Their rulers no longer believed in the supremacy of Islam, chosen by God as the final testament for this world. UMNO no longer displayed the courage to grow a religious beard, proclaim the faith, or pick up the sword — in defence of Islam. this revisionism went against innumerable tenets of the Quran, which advocate acceptance of other faiths, particularly “people of the Book”, and explain why Christian communities like the Yazidis continued to live in Muslim Iraq for 1,400 years until the supremacists of ISIS began their rape, pillage and murder of the “infidel”.
But as a sense of loss, and fear of the future, intensified, the ideas of exclusivity, separation and dream of dominance began to gather momentum in the 20th century. PAS has cheated the rakyat before - we will not let it happen again.Muslims had slipped into decadence, compromising purity of practice in prayer and trust in the sharia; their behaviour and dress had been corrupted by other cultures, whether it was Hinduism in India or the growing influence of Europe among Ottoman elites. The rakyat will much rather Pakatan lose GE14 without PAS, than to win with them, and give them more power to force syariah on all Malaysians.PAS has cheated the rakyat before - we will not let it happen again.
