TRUTH IN THE TIME OF TURMOIL WHO KILLED THE HOPE?

Time to realize the true dream of the founding fathers Come on, Malaysia – RISE TO THE OCCASION

WE MALAYSIAN HAVE A DREAM TIME TO REALIZE THE TRUE DREAM OF THE FOUNDING FATHERS

Time to realize the true dream of the founding fathers Come on, Malaysia – RISE TO THE OCCASION UMNO MUST GIVE  VOICE TO THOSE WHO FEEL DISILLUSIONED OR DISENFRANCHISED BY THE CHOICE OF  THEIR CANDIDATES. BY PLACING LOCAL CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION, VOTERS WILL BE ABLE VOTE SUITABLE CHOICES. WE HAVE NO MANIFESTO OR POLITICAL VIEW, BUT … Read more
Get lost  Chor Chee Heung barking dogs are UMNO puppets This stupid, brainless and corrupt MCA guy, Chor Chee Heung is barking for all the wrong reasons and facts. He likes to bark just for the sake of barking like a mad wild dog. Anyway corrupt MCA will disappear after the 13TH GE.
Why has Nurul entered Politics, it was because of her father being imprisoned for all the wrong reason and for destroying her father. What would have the young girl then would have felt for her father. He has all the reason to become the Next, first female PM of the country, you mean idiotic Chor Chee Heung who can be intellectual but not intelligent enough to see through. The Rakyat is more powerful than Chor Chee Heung whose his blind and faithful to his master.
What is wrong with that? If the family members are for justice and fairness then why not?
Democracy is never fully realised. At best, it’s an ambition, a quest for a goal that often eludes the grasp of its aspirants.
To revisit the reformasi movement, 14 years on from the week of its convulsive beginnings in the sacking of Anwar Ibrahim from UMNO and government, is to celebrate a popular awakening but also to acknowledge the difference between the rapture of rebellion and its realisation in reformed and democratic institutions.
Unfortunately, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, the alphabet of democratic aspiration of the masses is marked more by its fragility than its fulfillment.
pkr campaign bus attacked in kota bharu 1In our country, this reality was underlined in jarring fashion in Kota Bharu early yesterday when the windscreen of the campaign bus launched by PKR the day before was smashed.
Emblazoned with the party logo and visage of its iconic leader Anwar, the bus is an American-style campaign prop whose novelty is certain to draw attention.
By introducing the campaign bus, PKR are pushing at the frontiers of democratic persuasion in this country by employing as agitprop items hitherto put to more conventional uses.
Sporting the slogan, ‘Jelajah Merdeka Rakyat’ (‘Journey of Emancipation’), the bus was on a 14-stop tour of five states – Pahang, Kelantan, Perak, Kedah and Perlis – when unknown hoodlums hurled a hard object at its windscreen in the Kelantan capital, cracking the screen in several places.

Playing the devil’s advocate, those who audaciously bay for Modi’s blood ought to recall that Congress leaders accused of the anti-Sikh pogrom in Delhi are yet unable to extricate themselves from the legal cobweb. And the party brass for which they became the sacrificial lamb has conveniently disowned them. Political theorists such as Hobbes and … Read more
Reactionary forces lurk in the more dingy folds of our democracy, but PKR are, apparently, undeterred. They said the battered bus would be driven to the other stops in its three-day ‘fly-the-flag’ campaign tour.
Prevented from taking selected media representatives on what was its inaugural journey by the refusal of the Road Transport Department to grant it a permit to carry passengers, the bus, nevertheless, was driven off to a start in its 14-stop journey after its launch at the PKR headquarters in Tropicana, Kelana Jaya, on Friday morning.
The bus, sporting the party’s logo and the smiling countenance of its leader is certain to draw popular notice, not just for its novelty as a political campaign tool, but also for the panache of its styling.
Campaign lore
Few things are as fruitful of inspiration as democratic competition between political parties. The use of the bus will add to the campaign lore surrounding the 13th general election.
This was confirmed by the minor stir its arrival caused late Friday morning at Taman Meranti, in Bentong, where PKR held an Aidilfitri gathering, attended by Anwar and wife, Dr Wan Azizah Ismail.
NONEAnwar (right), who had just begun speaking before the bus was manoeuvred into the car-lined lane leading up to where the gathering was held, paused to allow the 400-odd people assembled, to survey the novelty before resuming his theme of how the grant of independence to the Malaysian people, 55 years ago Friday, did not conduce to their real emancipation.
When the RTD grants permission that would allow the bus to carry passengers, Anwar and other PKR leaders are likely to stump towns and villages on the campaign trail, using a retractable staircase and platform from which to electioneer.
Just when the American presidential election cycle is in full flower, the introduction of this campaign bus here in Malaysia ought to give a fillip to trends that would make a head-to-head debate between the two point men of the competing coalitions – Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Opposition Leader Anwar – well nigh irresistible.
So far Najib has weaseled out of the challenge to debate Anwar, but PKR continues to think up an innovative pattern of responses to UMNO-BN’s reliance on the staid and sterile in campaign methods.
The setting-up of a whistleblowers’ centre and now the use of a stylised campaign bus are examples of this creative pattern that has starkly contrasted the ossified methods of UMNO-BN with the newfangled strategies of its rival.
Drawn-out marathon
Now, with constant deferments to the date of the 13th general election, the election campaign has become a drawn out marathon, a race that goes to the steady, not the swift.
Bt Jalil Merdeka NajibPM Najib (left) must be thinking that an even gait and a great fund raiser would allow him to outlast Pakatan Rakyat and the battles of attrition the latter are always launching.
But a movement for change, such as reformasi that was triggered 14 years ago, can only be quenched if there is a paradigm shift brought about either through the implementation of the agenda for change or through a shift in the perception of the deciders: the voting public.
Thus far neither that agenda for change nor a perceptual shift is discernible. That would make the quest for change even keener as time winds down on the clock to a constitutionally mandated electoral verdict.
In these straits, the chances of the innovative rather than the staid coming through must be rated the more highly simply because salvation is always for those who never cease to strive.

What is wrong with that? If the family members are for justice and fairness then why not? Look at Suu Kyi, is it wrong for her to be in politics like her dad? Goes to show how silly Chor’s mindset it that he is unable to discern right from wrong. That explains why MCA have incompetant leaders who cannot think staright anymore but are mere goons for UMNO. MCA IS FINISHED. Why MCA is not concerned about the purchase of the “Navy Evaluation Documents” during the tender evaluation of the Submarines. The reported condition for US$1 billion in payment mandated for final negotiations to close the submarine sale. All these are acts of treason which compromises the national security. These issues for UMNO/BN are insignificant and not worth to be investigated. Port Kelang debacle is also insignificant. Its the birthright of UMNO/BN to plunder the coffers and abuse the nation’s trust. This rightfully justifies that what is very significant to the nation is insignificant and inconsequential for UMNO/BN. What are of no significance to the nation’s well being is made very significant to cover up all the corruption, blunders and abuses of UMNO/BN. To date UMNO/BN are yet to come up with measures to ensure our nation would weather the impending storm that would significantly effect the world economy. The primary objective of UMNO/BN is to stay in power come what
Chor Chee Heung is not known to have a brain. He even made war on Harry Potter a few years ago. After GE13, he may have to just ‘chor see hung’ (sit on toilet) when his seat goes!
Chor, on the surface it would appear that what you said has some truth to it – there are many fathers, husbands, wives and sons relationships in PR. But no one can deny that indulging in opposition politics was a long journey of sacrifice, miserably and imprisonment. For sure many in MCA today would not be able to stomach the sacrifice many in the opposition have gone through. Family members come naturally to provide support for the cause fought for by the opposition. This is unlike BN which was essentially to inherit the benefits. Just look at the goodies that were passed down from the BN side and compared with the imprisonment and harsh treatments children of opposition leaders received. You are a nincompoop, you do not know your own baloney Chor Chee Heung, no political party in Malaysia is free of nepotism. You should think before you talk. Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Hussein Onn, Mahathir, Badawi, Ling Liong Sik, Samy Vellu, Chua Soi Lek, Lim Keng Yaik are all guilty of building political dynasties BN/UMNO have only worthless dynastic products. See the PM, the HM, CSL junior and Mukhriz Who is MCA to talk about this? Chua Soil Lek and his very young minister son?Arrogant and proud because of their clean and efficiency in their works is always better than those who feel arrogant and proud because of their corrupted wealths and with the illegitimate powers to bully the Rakyats!
MCA; you are so powerful. You own the media for so many years. You put all your favourite people to write all the great things about you guys. But, unfortunately the rakyat saw the through the SHAM with all your in fighting. From 1980 until 2012. From Tan Koon Swan until now. Seriously, MCA -what you done for Malaysia EXCEPT to demonstrate how dysfunctional your party is. You guys fought for your own agenda. It’s true what the readers below mentioned. You guys also have your own dynasties. The DAP father son, Karpal and sons team, Pakatan family trio are all elected by the Rakyat. MCA has a chequered record of this as well. Think its time for MCA to hire a proper PR agency to coach you guys how to talk, behave and also what to share. Two days in a row, all MCA has been doing is FUMBLING. Don’t you think you guys have suffered enough this week. Time to be silent for a while please. Why didn’t you say Iran? Scared of UMNO what is the name of that son-of-a-porn star President ah?Chua Some Thing or other i think. My memory is as bad as that UMNO bootlicker Chor Some Thing! When will MCA ever learn?. These bunch of self-serving politicians cannot stop opening their mouths and spewing up stupidity. They had overstayed in the local political arena far too long and it is time that they are forced to keep their promise to butt out of the government if they perform worse than GE12. UMNO must remember their promise, period.
Politics is a real field for real men. If you can make a difference for your country, then jump in. Of course, even in countries like the USA and the UK, politicians come from certain privileged sections of the society. Children wanting to be politicians attend really good and special schools, they go to chosen colleges and take up courses which help them for their future political career.
Whether you like it or not, politicians of even advanced countries mostly come from politically or economically or socially elite families. Because of people talking of dynastic rule, Rahul is keeping away from being a minister. Give them a chance. If you or I go to Indian Parliament, they will boot us out the next second.
Once upon a time a little girl called Alice was dozing one summer afternoon on a meadow when she saw a strange sight. A white rabbit dressed in a coat and wearing a wristwatch was running while saying ‘I am late’. Alice followed the rabbit which jumped into a hole, and both fell and fell until they landed somewhere with a loud thump.
Alice was caught by some policemen and led away to face a trial for some unknown offence. On the way she saw a large gathering of people and on enquiry was told that the place was a country called Wonderland, and the people had gathered to see the oath taking ceremony of the Chief Justice of Wonderland.
Now the Chief Justice had to be given oath by the President of Wonderland, but before that could be done the Chief Justice grabbed a golden crown from somewhere and crowned himself (somewhat like Napoleon crowning himself at Notre Dame). The Chief Justice then declared himself the Emperor of Wonderland, a post above the President or Prime Minister.
Thereafter the Chief Justice let loose a reign of terror in Wonderland, somewhat like Judge Jeffries (the ‘hanging’ Judge) in the time of James II. At the slightest opposition he would say “Off with his head”, and lo and behold the head of the objector would fall, whether of Prime Minister of Judge or anyone. The streets of Wonderland were literally littered with heads of High Court Judges, Ministers, etc.
This Chief Justice surrounded himself with worthies who were called Judges and lawyers but were really spoons (chamchas), though in human form. Whatever the Chief Justice would say, the spoons would nod their heads and say “Quite right Your Majesty, Quite right” (following the adage ‘Billee oonth le gayi to haanji haanji kehna’ ). The spoons who were in the form of lawyers got favourable orders from the Chief Justice, about  whom they would say, “Chief tere jannisaar, beshumar, beshumar” ( Chief Justice, the people who are prepared to die for you are countless). None of the spoons who were in the form of Judges dared to dissent from the Chief Justice, and hence there was not a single dissenting opinion and all verdicts were unanimous.
Now Wonderland had a Constitution, but the Chief Justice had read somewhere that the Constitution means what the Judges say it means. Since there was only one real Judge in the Supreme Court of Wonderland, that is the Chief Justice himself (since the other so-called Judges were really spoons, who were only supposed to nod their heads), the Chief Justice was of the opinion that the Constitution meant what he thought it meant, and according to his interpretation of the Constitution there was an Emperor in Wonderland, that is himself, who was supreme, above all other authorities or bodies, including the President, Prime Minister, Parliament, etc.
There are several principles of interpretation (as every lawyer knows). The Chief Justice did not have a high opinion of the literal rule, and regarded Judges who followed it as asses. He preferred the purposive rule of interpretation, and his interpretation of the purposive rule was that that interpretation of the law should be followed which served his own purpose.
When Alice was brought for trial to court she was shocked to see the Chief Justice sitting on a chair naked.
This happened because some time earlier two of the spoons who always surrounded the Chief Justice told him that they had prepared beautiful clothes for him, but these could only be seen by upright and intelligent people. In fact these spoons were frauds, and they pretended to put on these invisible clothes on the Chief Justice. All the other spoons assembled there kept saying ‘what beautiful clothes the Chief is wearing’ although in fact he was naked. This they said became they did not want to be branded as dishonest and fools, in which case the verdict on them would be the usual “Off with their heads”. The Chief Justice also did not want the people to think he himself is dishonest or a fool, and he pretended to admire his beautiful clothes, although he was naked.
When Alice saw the Chief Justice she exclaimed in horror “But you have no clothes”, at which the Chief Justice got furious and said “Off with her head”.
Now Alice too got furious and said “This joke has gone on far too long. Off with yours”. At which the people gathered there beheaded the Chief Justice, and now all the spoons are facing trials somewhat like that held at Nuremberg after the Second World War.
